Reliance Electric created the 2GU21005 to be a 5HP 50/60 Hz AC Drive. Depending on when it was actually in production, this drive could have also been made by Baldor Reliance and Asea Brown Boveri. None of these initial companies still maintain the 2GU21005, but AX Control does try to keep it in stock. Please consult the website for more availability information.
The 2GU21005 is a 3-Phase 230V AC GP2000 series drive. This drive is encased in a NEMA 1 rated chassis. This drive has the ability to be rated using 3-phase input power or with single-phase input power. If you choose to operate the drive using a single-phase, you still have to use a 3-phase motor. The 3-phase ratings are 5 HP, 230 V, 7.8 KVA input, 19.6 amps of maximum input, a sine wave motor rating of 15.2 amps, and 16.7-amp maximum drive output. The single-phase input power ratings are 2 HP, 230 V, a 3.5 KVA input, max input amps of 15.2, a sine wave motor max of 6.8 amps, and a maximum drive output of 7.5 amps.
The 2GU21005 has many standard features common to the GP2000 series of drive drives. This drive has a 0-400HZ frequency range. It has the ability to control the PWM. It has a short circuit protection feature for the line-to-ground and line-to-line output. This drive has the ability to be surface mounted. It has 57 adjusting drive configurations. With an optional card, the drive can have a serial communication ability. This device has a microprocessor-based regulator.
