Product Description

14C303 is a 1000 ohms D-C FlexPak Plus controller that is manufactured by Reliance Electric.

Current flow through the main contactor is never broken in normal operation by the contracts because the control logic sequences the contractor and the control relay on the regulator. The transformer for this controller has a maximum kVA of 30-145, and a rated kVA of 6-30. 14C303 has a rated horsepower of 20, and the VAC at 60Hz is 230. The A-C Amps (RMS) rating maxes out at 34. The amp. maximum is 5, and this supply must only be used for field excitation, because of nature of field loss protective circuitry. The power supply capacity is 5000. The D-C field is rated at 300 volts.

Before starting up, inspect the controller with the power off, then check the drive motor to assure that no damaging grounds exist within the motor. Power on the controller and make all necessary adjustments to the regulator module pots, which include maximum speed, minimum speed, acceleration rate, deceleration rate, current limit, and IR drop compensation.

When troubleshooting your device, if there are A-C Line problems, first check if the A-C line voltage is correct for this specific controller. If there are motor problems, recheck all motor connections for firmness and correct identification. Mechanical issues may indicate that the load on the drive motor is too large or has too high an inertia. Follow the manual instructions for troubleshooting the controller.
