14C302 is a D-C FlexPak Plus controller that is manufactured by Reliance Electric.

This controller is 1000 ohms. The control logic sequences the contractor and the control relay on the regulator so that current flow through the main contactor is never broken in normal operation by the contracts. 14C302 has a rated horsepower of 20, and the VAC at 60Hz is 230. The A-C Amps (RMS) rating maxes out at 66, the amp. maximum is 5, and the power supply capacity is 5000. The D-C field is rated at 150 volts. The transformer for this controller has a maximum kVA of 145, and a rated kVA of 30. Important: For proper operation of the controller, the minimum required kVA size is 15 kVA.

This FlexPak Plus controller is designed as a panel mounted unit. You must leave 4 inches of space between each controller to allow for unobstructed air circulation through the heat sink. A thermostat is used to guard against motor overload protection, it is essential to properly connect the motor thermostat to connections 34 and 132. When planning signal or control wire runs, remember that conduits must be made of steel. Make sure that if these conduits must cross 460 VAC conductors, make sure they cross at 90°. After configuring the layout of the drives, mount and power wire the drive controller.

Caution: do not allow the conductors to ground on the chassis. Personal injury and equipment damage may result from bare wires making contact with the chassis.

The most common problem preventing normal d-c drive operation is incorrect wiring within a system. Follow manual guidelines if troubleshooting is necessary.
