Product Description

14C109-1U is manufactured by Reliance Electric. It is a Regenerative controller with an Auxiliary Panel.

 

This controller has a D-C armature of 180 volts and an available field voltage of 200. Regenerative controllers do not have a rated A-C line, but they do have an available current of 3.0 amps. 14C109-1U has an AC input drive rating of 230 and a horsepower of 5, which makes an input KVA of 11.04 possible. This controller also has a rated armature current of 25.0 amps.

 

Beyond 3300 feet elevation, this controller will not operate. Ambient temperatures for this equipment must stay between 32° and 131° F. Relative humidity must stay between 5% and 95% without condensation. Operating the controller at alternate temperatures or humidities will result in technical malfunctions. Always consult the manual when planning for controller operation conditions.

 

Control circuit relay in this controller prevents the drive from restarting automatically after a power outage. As a regenerative controller, 14C109-1U is reliable because it incorporates isolated voltage and current feedbacks.

 

This controller comes standard with an open-chassis design and is easy to install and service. A 2 to 3 horsepower field supply is included for the motor shunt field. The semiconductors are protected from line transients by a built-in surge suppressor. An armature loop D-C circuit breaker protects all regenerative controllers in this series from inverting faults. The standard adapter kit for regenerative controllers is the Remote Operator Adapter kit, which buffers and filters external signals when the drive is operated remotely.
