Product Description

Reliance Electric manufactures 14C109 as part of the FlexPak Plus series of Regenerative Controllers with Auxiliary Panels.

This controller has a Horse Power rating of 5. The AC Input drive rating is 230 volts, which allows for an Input KVA of 11.04. 14C109 has a D-C Armature Voltage of 180 and a Rated Armature Current of 25.0 amperes. The controller has an available field voltage of 200 and and available field current of 3.0 amperes. Only regenerative controllers have available field voltage and current. Regenerative controllers do not have a rated A-C line.

This controller can operate in service conditions of up to 3300 feet elevation. Atmospheric conditions for 14C109 must stay between 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity, and ambient temperatures may not fall below 32°F or rise above 131°F.

The maximum load for this controller is one minute at 150%. Relay in the control circuit prevents the drive from automatically restarting after a power outage. This regenerative controller incorporates isolated voltage and current feedbacks for drive reliability.

All controllers in this series come complete with a Remote Operator Adapter Kit for buffering and filtering of external signals when the drive is remote operated. All regenerative controllers in this series are protected from inverting faults by an armature loop D-C circuit breaker. Standard features of this controller include a compact, open chassis design and easy installation and service. This controller also includes a 2-3 HP field supply for the motor shunt field. There is also a built-in surge suppressor, which protects semiconductors from line transients.
