14C108-1U is a Regenerative controller that is manufactured by Reliance Electric. It is part of the FlexPak Plus series and includes an auxiliary panel.

The available field voltage is 200 volts for this controller, and the available field current is 3.0 amps. Because the horsepower is 2-3 and the AC Input drive rating is 230, the input KVA ranges from 3.22 to 4.82. The D-C armature for 14C108-1U is 180, and the rated armature current is 10.0-15.0 amps.

Before attempting start-up, wire the speed reference circuit. In order to set up the controller, first adjust the speed settings, then adjust the acceleration and deceleration settings. Finish by adjusting the current limit and IR drop compensation. You must install the drives vertically. Remember to leave 2 inches of space between each drive.

The dimensions of all FlexPak Plus Regenerative Controllers are 11.97” (305mm) x 7.93” (201mm) x 8.37” (213mm). The dimensions of the auxiliary panel are 4.75” (111mm) x 8.37” (213mm). The dimensions of the basic controller are 7.22” (184mm) x 8.37” (213mm). Regenerative controllers are larger than non-regenerative controllers in this series.

The Tachometer Feedback kit, which allows for applications requiring accuracy of speed regulation to 0.5% with a 95% load change with the specified tachometer, comes standard on regenerative drives such as 14C108-1U. The Voltage Follower kit, which allows the drive to follow an external D-C voltage signal, is an optional modification that can be applied to the controller.
