923FK0101 is an optional Enhanced Field Supply Kit by Reliance Electric as a part of their FlexPak 3000 drive series. This particular kit has a current rating of 10 and includes one enhanced field supply board, three 25A, 600V field input fuses, four fuse rating labels, and instruction manual D2-3413-1. This kit is designed to replace the Standard Field Supply kit by expanding the drive horsepower range applicable up to 600 HP (from 125 HP). The enhanced field supply kit provides the user with greater control over the drive’s field output, allowing the user to match the rated field voltage of the DC motor required for the desired application.
In order to install the Enhanced Field Supply kit, first remove the OIM cover and open the carrier. After power is tagged and locked out of the drive, remove the standard field supply board. Adjust the jumpers on the enhanced field supply board and the regulator board and install the enhanced field supply board. Replace the drive fuses labeled 6FU, 7FU, and 8FU. Close the carrier, reinstall the OIM cover, and modify the drive configuration. Refer to chapter 7 in the user manual for modifying the drive configuration parameters, which can be accessed through the CURRENT MINOR LOOP and FIELD menus. Caution: The motor will run at dangerously high speeds if the field voltage is set improperly. Without an understanding of the parameter’s function, application, maximum safe motor speed, and the driven machines, do not change the field voltage adjust parameter.
