Product Description

907FK0301 is an AC Tachometer kit that is manufactured by Reliance Electric as part of the FlexPak 3000 drive series. This kit has a maximum input of 250 VAC and is intended for use with existing motors that have RE045 tachometers. Select another tachometer feedback kit for new motor and tachometer applications. AC tachometers are not suitable for Regenerative reversing drive applications.

This interface kit must be properly installed and configured on the FlexPak 3000 Digital DC Drive. Only one feedback interface kit can be used with the drive at one time. Therefore, the Pulse Tachometer Interface kit may not be installed in conjunction with this kit. The interface printed circuit board rectifies the tachometer’s AC output voltage through a diode bridge and produces a DC voltage for the drive’s Regulator board. This kit is optional and must be ordered separately from the drive.

Before installing this kit, the user must calculate the maximum AC output from the tachometer and the maximum DC voltage output from the AC Tachometer Interface Board. Also, determine the proper wiring of the AC Tachometer Interface board to the Regulator board. The voltage at the input of the AC Tachometer Interface Board must not exceed 275 V AC RMS.

To install this kit, open the drive and carrier, mount the AC tachometer to the Interface board, check the motor and drive wiring, and close the carrier and drive. Do not attempt to install this kit with power applied to the drive.

After installation, set the AC Tachometer parameters in the following sequence: Parameter 006 (Negative Current Limit), Parameter 015 (Reverse Disable), Parameter 200 (Feedback Select), Parameter 203 (Analog Tach Volts/1000), Parameter 202 (Analog Tach Zero Adjustment), Parameter 201 (Analog Tach Gain Adjustment).
