907FK0101 is a Pulse Encoder Interface Kit that is manufactured by Reliance Electric as a part of the FlexPak 3000 drive series. This kit includes four M3 x 10 screws, four nylon washers, a 60-pin ribbon cable, and a pulse encoder interface board. In order to install the Pulse Encoder Interface Kit, first open the drive and the carrier. To do this, ensure that all power is turned off, locked out, and tagged. Remove the cover from the drive and open the carrier. The mount the pulse encoder interface board either directly on the back of the OIM carrier or on an optional I/O expansion board.
Wire the pulse encoder interface board in compliance with all NEC/CEC guidelines and all applicable local codes. Use twisted pair wire, 12 to 18 AWG, two or three twists per inch, for optimum long distance noise immunity. The maximum cable length must insure the minimum specified supply voltage to the pulse encoder and the minimum specified input voltage to the Pulse Encoder Interface Board. All tachometer wiring must be routed in its own separate conduit. Next, check the motor and drive wiring before closing the carrier and the drive. Verify and adjust the drive parameters.
