About the 848.09.03
The 848.09.03 is a FlexPak 3000 Power Module made by Reliance Electric. It was possibly also sold by ABB or Baldor Reliance at some point during the years it was manufactured. It is no longer being supported by any of these companies and may be difficult to locate. AX Control does try to keep it in stock but please contact us directly for its availability, shipping options, and a price quote.
The 848.09.03 is a 450 amp, 500 volts, S-6R Drive with a dedicated field rectifier. Within this drive is a 790.30.70 EPROM microchip located on an 810.79.40 regulator board. The regulator is mounted just behind the operator interface module. This drive should be stored in a clean, dry environment.
On the 848.09.03, there is a keypad and LCD display that provides many features. The LCD display has the ability to provide the user with a clear representation of the drive’s status. There are LCD indicators to the right side of the LCD display that is labeled Fault, Alarm, Interlock OK, Drive Ready, Running, Current Limit, and Torque Limit. There are control key LDC indicators that are just below the display. These are labeled Program, Keypad, Manual, and Forward. Below the LCDs are the keys on the keypad. There are two types of keys, programming keys and drive control keys. The programming keys are labeled Enter, Cancel, Help, Program Monitor, Fault, and four arrow keys. The drive control keys are labeled Control Source Select, Auto/Manual, Forward/Reverse, Jog, Run, and Stop/Reset. There are two LED indicators that are located on the regulator board that is labeled CPU OK and OIM COMM OK.
