The 40FN4042 DC drive is a 3-phase, digital, non-regenerative drive. This particular drive has an input current rating of 230/460 VAC and an output current rating of 240/500 VDC. When the 40FN4042 DC drive is operating at 230 VAC, it has 20 HP, a full load RMS AC line current rating of 63 A, a full load rated DC armature current of 73 A, and a rated field current of 15 A. When operating at 460 VAC, the drive has 40 HP and all of the same current ratings.

The 40FN4042 DC drive allows for use in demanding applications and has the ability to easily adapt to different situations. The drive is very easy to set up and operate thanks to the operator interface module, shortened as OIM, which features and LCD display and compact yet densely packed keypad panel. The drive is also flexible in that you can operate it using the built-in OIM on the front of the drive or by using a remotely mounted control station that is compatible with the drive.
