300FB4042 is a Regenerative 460 VAC drive manufactured by Reliance Electric as a part of their FlexPak 3000 series. The horsepower rating is 300 HP and the armature is 500 VDC. The field current is 300 VDC. The full load RMS AC line current is 421, the full load rated DC armature current is 495, and the rated field current is 15. The dimensions are 599 mm (23.6 in) x 850 mm (33.5 in) x 470 mm (18.5 in) x 822.8 mm (32.4 in) x 424.7 mm (16.7 in). The weight is 100 kg (220.5 lb).
The user must verify that the motor is rotating in the correct direction. First, turn off the drive power and verify the operation of the Coast/Stop pushbutton using an ohmmeter. The reading should be infinite ohms when this button is pressed, and the reading should be 0 ohms when this button is pressed. Power up the drive and select ARMATURE VOLT for FEEDBACK SELECT by accessing the main menu, then the Speed/Voltage Loop (SPD) menu, then the Speed/Voltage Loop (SPD) Feedback menu. Then use the “JOG” command to verify that the motor is rotating in the correct Forward direction. If the rotation is incorrect, power down the drive and reverse the connection of the motor armature leads A1 and A2.
The user must determine the lead polarity of the D-C tachometer. This must be done with the power ON. Select ARMATURE VOLT for FEEDBACK SELECT and select the forward direction. Verify that the (+) tachometer lead is connected to CTB-21 or 22 and that the (-) tachometer lead is connected to CTB-23. To determine the lead polarity for the forward direction of rotation and tag the tachometer leads accordingly, (+) and (-).
