250FB4031 is a 460 VAC regenerative FlexPak 3000 drive controller that is manufactured by Reliance Electric. This drive has a rated horsepower of 250 HP, unless a conversion kit is applied, in which case the rated horsepower is cut in half. The optional kit may add additional mounting depth to the drive’s mounting depth of 424.7 mm. Optional features of the drive controller include an input disconnect, dynamic braking, the motor blower power supply, the output voltmeter, the output ammeter, the output frequency meter, the motor overload, a portable tester with a digital readout and a trending indicator, and 115 VAC operator’s control voltage. The operator control device may be mounted locally on the drive or remotely as a station for controlling the FlexPak 3000 drive.
Standard features of the drive controller include a 0 to 60 Hz speed range. The controller has the capability to reach a speed of 240 Hz. Throughout the speed range, there is a near unity power factor. The standard fuses are internally fused with the input (for easy replacement). The controller is not sensitive to the incoming power pulse sequence. Line transient protection prevents power line transients from damaging the controller, and there is also line-to-line and line-to-ground output short circuit protection. The controller allows from electronic reversing from any speed and coast-to-rest as the standard stopping mechanism. There is a Local Fault reset pushbutton for fault reset on the drive. Standard adjustments on the drive include acceleration and deceleration, maximum and minimum hertz, stability, current limit, volts per hertz, and voltage boost.
