20FN2032 is a D-C controller categorized as part of the FlexPak 3000 by Reliance Electric. This control is certified as U/L, U/L-C and CE. It is designed to accept a voltage input of 230 Volts A-C. The associated armature and field voltage for the 230 volt line are 240 VDC and 150 VDC, respectively. The drive has a maximum rated output of 20 HP. With this said, the manufacturer has rated the control to tolerate 150% of that power output for up to one minute. The minimum load is 5% of the rated load. If kept in its default chassis configuration, the drive should be operated at a maximum of 55°C. When mounting via cabinet, it important to keep this temperature at 45°C. The drive has an efficiency of 98.6% with rated load and speed, and it has a typical efficiency of 85% when combined with a motor.
The controller has multiple logic inputs that share the same ground and operate at 24 volts D-C. The turn-on voltage is at 8 VDC with a turn off current of .5 mA. The controller also contains multiple analog inputs including a tachometer input which is critical for a closed feedback loop with the motor. Careful selection of an external tachometer is required to ensure proper function with the controller. In addition to these inputs, the controller has a variety of analog and logic outputs which provide information from the control terminal block. These outputs allow for integration with external systems.
