About the DM-30

The DM-30 is a model of BRU-200 series of 30-amp servo drives from Reliance Electric. It may have been also sold by ABB or Baldor Reliance depending on its manufacturing dates. The DM-30 has:

  • an open chassis next to its faceplate
  • a set of 4 LEDs that are numerically labeled 1-4
  • a terminal strip on its left side labeled L1 aux, L2 aux, R, S, T, GND, L1, L2, and GND
  • a small green LED under it.
  • six more connections labeled P1 communication, P2 I/O, P3 encoder out, P4 encoder in, P5 monitor, and P6 serial
  • a cooling air circulation fan

The DM-30 can be mounted to a flat panel using the two brackets on its backplane. This drive should be mounted vertically and should not be directly on top or below anything else. There are two factory-drilled holes on the top bracket on the backplane. Use two bolts and washers to make a secure mount to the panel.
