About the DM-10
Reliance Electric Servo Drive Module
The DM-10 is a brushless sinusoidal industrial drive. This servo drive has a continuous amp rating of 5A and a peak amps of 10A. it is 100-240 VAC and is single-phase. It has an internal DC bus voltage of 141-340 VDC (325 VDC when using 230 VAC input). It has a command signal input range of +/- 10 VDCs with a 13.3k Ohms impedance. It has a peak shunt power of 4.5 kW and a continuous shunt power of 50 W. It weighs roughly 6.8 kg. This servo drive has a 50 watt + dissipative shunt maximum power loss. The DM-10 has the ability to provide control and power over an S-series motor. It uses a 16-bit microprocessor to use serial interfaces from a PC or programming terminal to the servo drive. If the user plugs in a personality module to the drive module, it can handle all of the set-up and tuning of the motor. The recommended motors for the DM-10 are:
- the Electro-Craft S-series S-2003
- the Electro-Craft S-series S-2005
- the S-3007
Motors are permanent magnet synchronous motors. This drive has a series of 4 LED indicators. One of them is green and the other three are red. There is an RS-232 connection cable above 6 other connections that are labeled P1-Controller, P2-I/O, P3-Encoder Out, P4-Encoder In, P5-Monitor, and P6-Serial. There is also a terminal strip that has a small green Ready LED indicator under it. This DM-10 device has been developed for the BRU-100 series, to be specific.
