Product Description

The DC2-76U is a DC2 Variable speed controller from Reliance Electric.  This unit is designed for use in conjunction with Reliance motors.   It is a basic unit that includes both process and speed control.  It also includes the operator’s control.

DC2 controllers are used to convert incoming AC power into adjustable DC power.  This makes it usable for the control of DC motors.  The unit has full-wave, half-controlled armature rectification with an improved armature form factor.   The mounted MOV offers line transient protection.  The unit offers remote stop and start as well as remote jog and run.

The DC2-76U module includes a replaceable fuse (64676-61AR) on its surface.   It also includes a power cube.  Power cubes allow for multiple AC adapters.  Close to the power cube, the unit includes several terminals and a terminal strip that runs the length of the board.

The DC2-76U is built using a 0-57210-31 circuit board along with a 401286-48SFX 1-turn speed potentiometer.  The board includes metal oxide varistors (MOVs), resistors, integrated circuits, jumper switches, and capacitors.  The 0-57210-31 board is mounted to a metal carrier using standoff pieces.  Everything is enclosed in a NEMA 12 enclosure via screw mounts.

Refer to manuals for more detailed information regarding installation and wiring specifications.  This component carries significant hazards.  Please be sure you understand all handling guidelines before beginning any type of work.   AX Control will be happy to assist you in replacing any missing documentation.
