About the DC2-50VF

The DC2-50VF module is a DC drive module that is made to be compatible with DC2 drives that were designed and manufactured by Reliance Electric, which is now named Rockwell Automation. If you are in need of the DC2-50VF DC drive, then be sure to give us a call. We typically have the DC2-50VF DC drive in our stock due to our efforts to supply Reliance Electric products despite the fact that these products are largely discontinued.

The DC2-50VF DC drive is a printed circuit board that was made to be used within standard DC2 controllers, specifically the DC-50 controllers. These controllers were created to convert single phase AC power to the adjustable DC power, which can be used in either torque or speed control of the DC motors that are rated between 0.25 HP and 2 HP. The AC power is reconnectable for single phase 115 or 230 Volts. In addition to that, there is an internal 50 or 60 cycle power without any modification. They also all possess unidirectional operation with coast to rest stop and a half wave field supply for shunt wound DC motors. Also, the motor overload is protected thanks to the internal motor thermostat and an armature current scaling ability that is available due to a reconnectable jumper for the horsepower rating.

In regards to the speed control features of the DC2-50 controllers specifically, they all have potentiometers that allow for adjustments, independently adjustable rates, an adjustable current limit, adjustable IR drop compensation, and separately adjustable minimum and maximum speeds. In addition to that, there is armature voltage feedback scaling that is selected using an internal jumper.
