Product Description

The DC2-50V controller is included in the Reliance Electric DC2 family.The controller is specifically performance sized with Reliance Electric DC motors for a compact controller/motor package.

The controller requires 1 phase power input. The required input voltage is 115 or 230VAC. At 115VAC, the controller is rated for 90V armature and 50V field supply. At 230VAC, the controller is rated for 180V armature and 100V field supply.

At 115 VAC, the horsepower of the DC2-50V is between .25 and 1. When the DC2-50V is at 230 VAC, the horsepower of a DC2-50V is between .5 and 2. The controller is built with an open or plate style chassis. The power line frequency requirement is 50/60Hz. The DC2-50V is rated for 12.5 input amps.

Full-wave, half-controlled armature voltage rectifier; half-wave field supply for shunt wound DC motors; optional short circuit protection; line transient protection; armature current scaling; unidirectional operation; motor overload protection; and provisions for remote start, remote stop, and remote run/jog are some of the features that the DC2-50V controller include.

The DC2-50V controller has a speed control feature. The method of speed control is by armature voltage regulation or motor mounted DC tachometer. The DC2-50V controller has separately adjustable maximum and minimum speeds and potentiometer motor speed adjustment. The controller also has independently adjustable rates and adjustable current limit. The controller has adjustable IR drop compensation and armature voltage feedback scaling (90 or 180 volts).

The DC2-50V controller features run/jog capability for local or remote requirements.
