The DC1-27 is a drive that belongs to Reliance electric DC1 Drives series. It has a horsepower rating of 0.25-HP and a controller isolation transformer rating of 0.5 KVA. As a drive, it converts AC line power into adjustable DC power. It is compatible with Reliance Electric’s permanent magnet and wound filed D-C motors. This controller accepts either 150-VAC or 230-VAC of line power and puts out 90-Volts of DC armature voltage. It has a rated armature current of 2.5-amps and an available field voltage of 50Volts at 2-amps. Additionally, it operates with 12.5-amps with a frequency of either 50 or 60-Hertz. The DC1-27 has a continuous duty rating and a service factor of 1.0. It can sustain line voltage variations of either over or under 10% of the rated voltage. This drive unit should not be used at altitudes of over 3300 feet. It has a non-condensing relative humidity ranging from 5 to 95%. This drive has a load capacity of up to 150% for no longer than 1 minute.
When installing the DC1-27, ensure that the drive is located in an area with unrestricted ventilation and one-inch clearance around the drive. Doing so will allow for easy service access. Please leave at least 4-inches of space above the drive to allow access to the fuse cap. Ensure that the DC1-27 is mounted with the fuse to the right of the drive. It is vital that the user turns off the drive and tags or locks out the power source before installation. Failure to do so may result in injury.
