Product Description

The 805401-2S module is a Power Module Interface Rack that was made to be used within the AutoMax series by Reliance Electric. This device is no longer being produced by the OEM, but you can still typically find it at AX Control.

The 805401-2S Power Module Interface Rack (shortened to PMI rack) is made up of several components: a power supply, a resolver and drive I/O, a PMI processor, and DC power technology. This rack is a large, box-shaped device that has multiple components on its front side. The faceplate is broken up into four groups, which are the previously listed components.

The leftmost section is labeled with “POWER SUPPLY” at the top. This section has the least amount of components in it. At the top, there is a small status indicator LED that is labeled as “PWR OK.” Below that there is a small terminal strip that has numerous wires connected to it, each originating from different locations.

The second section is labeled with “PMI PROCESSOR” at the top and is made up of five LED indicators at the top, a small terminal strip, and four different I/O ports.

The third section is labeled with “RESOLVER & DRIVE I/O” at the top. The top half of this particular section is made up a total of nine status indicator LEDs. Below that row of LEDs, there are two large ports, the first one being labeled as “RESOLVER FEEDBACK” and the second one being labeled as “DRIVE I/O.”

The fourth and final section is labeled with “DC POWER TECHNOLOGY.” Just below the label, there is a small green status indicator LED that has the label “OK” to its right. Below this light, there are three large ports. The first of these ports is labeled with “ARMATURE FEEDBACK.” The second port is labeled with “ARMATURE FWD GATES.” The third port is labeled with “ARMATURE REV GATES.”
