The 770.90.00 is a PLC Autobus I/F Module that was initially created as a part of the AutoMax series of products. It was sold primarily by Reliance Electric although it was possibly also included in the ABB and Baldor Reliance product lines at one point. These companies have discontinued their support of the 770.90.00 and it may be a little tough to find now. AX Control does make an attempt to keep it in stock though.
The 770.90.00 is also known as a MERI card. It is a rectangular card that is roughly 2.30 lbs. It can be plugged directly into an AutoMax card rack assembly. It takes up one slot on the rack. To attach it, just slide it into the open side of the rack into a slot that is not designated for another type of card. Firmly slide the card into the corresponding card slots on the backplane of the rack. Then use the two brackets on the faceplate and two screws to secure the card to the mounting brackets on the card rack assembly.
On the faceplate of the 770.90.00 are a series of 8 LEDs that are labeled alphanumerically Port 0 through Port 7. Above these LEDs is another LED that is labeled Ready. Below the set of 8 LEDs are four terminal strips that have eight wire connections each.
