The 57C402 is an Output Module created by Reliance Electric. There is a good possibility that this module was also produced and sold under the Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance catalog of products. None of these manufacturers are still supporting this module. Even though it is now hard to find, AX Control does try to keep the 57C402 in stock as a reconditioned or new surplus item. Please refer to our website for the availability of the 57C402.
The 57C402 is a 24 V to 115 VAC/VDC Output Module created for an AutoMax Multibus system. This output module has the capability to give off signals and instructions to different types of devices that have basic on/off functions. These devices can include solenoids, pushbuttons, selector or limit switches, and motor starters. This device has a 5000-volt isolation and groups of four isolated commons. It is a 32-point high-density digital I/O. This system has four interrupt channels.
The 57C402 is a basic circuit board that is housed in a protective chassis. It can be plugged into an AutoMax card rack assembly by sliding it directly into the card slots on the backplane of the rack. You can then secure this card using the mounting brackets on the rack and the on the module itself. You need two screws to mount it into place. You can also use the brackets on the module to safely and easily remove the 57C402 from the rack assembly. On the faceplate are four sets of four LED indicators that will monitor the input connections on the module.
