The 45C381 module is a register output card that was designed and produced by Reliance Electric. In general, the 45C381 register output card will be used to interface with your chosen AutoMate system and the output devices that you choose to connect to it. This includes LED outputs and other parallel binary or BCD logic signals. Also, this card may be used whenever there are large numbers of low level digital I/O signals that need to be implemented.

The 45C381 register output card has numerous features that make it an important addition to your AutoMate programmable logic controller. The 45C381 register output card has an on board power supply and the capability to handle 16 bits of data. In addition to that, you can switch between either a single channel direct or six channel multiplex (meaning six strobe signals) system. There are also 24 terminals featured on a removable connector and TTL to 24 VDC logic levels available. All of these features are encased in a protective housing that shields them from any possible damaging materials and keeps the internal temperature regulated.
