Product Description

The 0-57554- is a Remote I/O Interface Module. Depending on what year it was in production, it may have also been a part of the Baldor Reliance or the Asea Brown Boveri product lines. This module may also be found under the part number ABB 57C554. This module has been discontinued by the manufacturers and is no longer available to be purchased directly from them. AX Control does try to keep the 0-57554- in stock though. Product availability is listed on our website.

The 0-57554- is also known as a PLC PC Board or a Shark Interface Module. It was created as part of the Reliance Electric AutoMax Remote I/O Interface systems. This module interfaces to the Shark’s backplane using a microprocessor. It does this by using timing and buffer circuitry. This module uses a +5 VDC power supply to power its logic circuitry. There is a separate power supply that is mounted onto the rack that supplies power to the module’s I/O network. It is rated at a+24 VDC and regulated at +12 VDC.

The 0-57554- has two LED indicator lights that are labeled CPU OK and COM OK. It has a Drop Number dial and a male RJ snub connector labeled NETWORK.
