Product Description

The PFXPP172BD13K00N00 industrial PC unit from Pro-face Xycom is just one of many available Industrial PCs from the company’s PS4000 series.  This PS4700 unit is specifically designed for locations where you need a unit that can run off a DC power supply.    If you require an AC-powered unit instead, please search our inventory or reach out to our team for a list of available units with that option.

The PFXPP172BD13K00N00 includes a 15-inch XGA display surrounded by an aluminum bezel.  This particular unit has two expansion slots, including one PCI and one PCIe slot.  PCI slots allow for internal PC expansion through the addition of more circuit boards/expansion cards.   Cards plug directly into the motherboard.  While PCI slots are most commonly used, the PCIe, or PCI Express slot improves communication with the motherboard and CPU, and should be used first.

The PFXPP172BD13K00N00 uses a DC power supply.  This has an interface for an uninterruptible power supply(UPS) battery unit.  Such a unit provides near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions.  They are typically used for a short period of time to span the gap until another standby power source is available or to give users the chance to properly shut down equipment.

This unit is built out with an Atom N270 CPU, along with 1 GB of RAM.  It has Windows XP Pro installed and includes hard drive storage.   For additional information regarding this unit, refer to its associated Pro-face user guides or manuals.  These documents will also help walk you through proper installation procedures.

Reviews For PFXPP172BD13K00N00

Internal Review
(5.0)

This particular PS4000 series industrial personal computer is outfitted with two expansion slots. One of these is a PCIe slot, which has faster communication with the CPU and motherboard. When you are filling expansion slots best practices suggest using the PCIe slot before the PCI slot. --AX Control Tech Team.
