Product Description

The PFXPP170CA40N04N00 is a 15-inch PS4700 industrial personal computer.  This is only one of many PS4000 series IPC units within our available inventory.  

This unit is built with a front touchpanel surrounded by a bezel.  The front display also includes a single USB port.  On the rear side of the unit, the unit has a power switch installed close to its AC power connector terminal block.  This part of the computer also houses the unit’s passive heat sink.   The right side of the unit is populated by the battery compartment, the power/reset button, as well as several status LEDs. LEDs include a power LED that will help users understand when their supply voltage is okay, in standby mode, or when the system is operating on battery power because of a problem with the supply voltage. 

Because this unit has a Core2 Duo CPU pre-installed, it has been built out with fans.  These are located on the bottom of the unit and will aid the heat sink in dissipating extra heat from the unit. 

Most connection points are located on the top edge of the display.  This includes your ground connection, COM expansion board D-sub-9 connector, Ethernet ports, USB ports (both 500 mA and 1A), as well as COM and line in/line out. 

The PFXPP170CA40N04N00  should only be installed and operated by qualified personnel.  Electrical safety from NFPA 70E should be part of training for working with this unit.   This unit is UL-listed and ATEX certified.  This unit meets the requirements for Cl I Div 2 hazardous location applications.  Make sure to read all hazard notifications in associated manuals before beginning work on this unit.
