The PFXPP160DA55P04N00 is a 12-inch 0-slot standard model Industrial PC.  This unit runs on an AC power supply.  It is built around a Celeron 827E CPU and has a Windows 7 Ultimate MUI (32-bit) OS onboard.  The unit also includes 4GB of RAM, a 500 GB HDD storage device, and a COM Expansion board. 

The COM expansion board on this unit includes an embedded LED and an embedded switch.   The switch is connected to a terminating resistor.  An active terminating resistor is indicated when the LED is yellow.   This board adds a combined RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485 interface to the Industrial PC.  The D-sub 9 connector automatically selects the operating mode.  A pin chart for this connector is available within associated manuals.   This connector is used to make connections to remote equipment.  Be aware that log PLC cables may have different electrical potential than the panel.  This can occur even if both the cable and the cable are connected to ground.  This can create a situation where electrical shock can occur.  Read through associated manuals on how to avoid this from happening.
