Pro-face’s PS3710A-T42 is often referred to as an HMI or Human-Machine Interface, or an OIM, Operator Interface Module. These terms are interchangeable. The PS3710A-T42 allows the graphics panel to save data to a CF card. This particular unit also offers multiple standard interfaces, such as 4 COM ports, 2 Ethernet ports, 4 USB 2.0 ports, and 2 PCMCIA Interfaces.

The PS3710A-T42 requires an input voltage of 100/240VDC, with a rated voltage of AC85 to 265V. It has a max power consumption of 150VA or less and an insulation resistance of DC500V 10MOhms.

This module has a replaceable CFL backlight and a rugged chassis suited for any factory floor.  The PS3710A-T42 is UL listed and RoHS compliant. When installed following the manufacturer’s guidelines, the unit has a rating equal to IP65f or NEMA 4/4X/12. For many Proface Human Machine Interface units, the overlay can be replaced during quality assurance, making the touchscreen match new quality even when sold as reconditioned, remanufactured, or used.
