About the PL7931-T41
The PL7931-T41 is one of a series of rugged and reliable industrial panel computers designed by Proface. The PL series of panel computers is designed for the more challenging aspects of industrial settings and are designed to offer higher reliability with less downtime to increase the overall rate of operation. The PL7931-T41 consists of a 15-inch front TFT color touch panel with a front power LED status lamp. This LED indicates:
- normal operation
- system errors
- backlight burnout
- soft mirror disk alarm
- soft off state
The LED is not powered when the unit is fully off.

Additionally, the PL7931-T41 includes:
- a hardware reset switch
- a front USB port along with other USB interfaces
- four serial interfaces
- RAS and IDE interfaces
- sound I/Os
- a PCI/ISA expansion slot
The PL7931-T41 conforms to standards like the UL508 Standard for Industrial Control Equipment and the CSA-C22.2 (No142-M1987) standard for process control equipment (UL/c-UL approved.)
Please note the PL7931-T41 should only be used indoors with the front panel forward-facing. This unit is air-cooled and does not include a fan. It should be panel mounted within a vertical panel and located at least 50mm away from other structures or machine parts. Installing it any closer than 50mm may cause heat buildup.
