General Information

The PFXXM4200TP is a 3.5-inch touch screen display panel in Pro-face's LT4000 modular series. This unit is designed to serve as the display in a full modular HMI and is the smaller of the two display panels in this series. It has a TFT Color LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA). The PFXXM4200TP has a single rear port for connecting to a rear module with a cable. The use of a separation cable allows the display panel and the rear module to be installed separately, a necessary step when the rear module is attached to a DIN rail.

Additional Display Features

The modules compatible with this panel are powered by GP-Pro EX software, which supports several language fonts such as ASCII, Japanese, traditional/simplified Chinese, and more. These fonts can be expanded up to 8x their original size for easy, comfortable viewing on the PFXXM4200TP’s display screen. The brightness of the PFXXM4200TP display can be adjusted to 16 levels, or the white LED backlight can be turned off completely with the on/off control.

Technical Specifications

The PFXXM4200TP itself is rated for certain conditions, but do be sure to check each part in your modular HMI to ensure you are operating your device in optimal conditions. It is rated for an input voltage of 24 VDC. Alone, this unit draws 6.5 W or less of power. Cooling of this model is done via natural air circulation, so installation should be done in an area with sufficient air flow.

The PFXXM4200TP is an ultra-compact HMI display. The modular nature of the LT4000M series makes it easier to customize and maintain your HMI when compared to a standard HMI. With use of modules such as the separation cable, this display can be separated from the rear module. This can be extremely useful in very tight spaces where a smaller HMI is more beneficial than a larger one. It can certainly be a little harder to use the touch panel features due to the small size. -AX Control Lead Technician
