Product Description

The AGP3500-S1-AF-CA1M HMI from Proface Xycom is part of the company’s GP3000 series.  This unit is a CANopen unit.   It conforms to multiple standards, including the  UL508 standard for industrial control equipment, ANSI/ISA-12.12.01 Nonincendive Electrical Equipment for uses in Cl. I Div 2 Hazardous locations, CSA-C22.2 (Nos. 142-M1987 and No 14-M95 as well as No. 213-M1987.)   The unit is also CE marked and conforms with EMC directives like EN6100-6-2 and EN55011 Class A.  

The AGP3500-S1-AF-CA1M has a front STN color LCD touch screen that is 10.4-inches.  The HMI requires an AC-type power supply.   The rear of the unit includes a 9-pin connector that conforms with CANopen international standards.  A pin arrangement can be found in associated Pro-face manuals.  The unit is designed to interface equally well with both Pro-face and third-part slaves. 

CANopen standards support device monitoring, network management, and simple communication between nodes, including segmentation and desgmentation.  CANopen also supports EMCY (emergency object protocol) and Electronic Data Sheet file formats.
