Product Description

The AGP3301-S1-D24 is an STN Color LCD HMI operator interface made by ProFace as part of their GP3000 series.  This unit is built with a 5.7-inch display offering 320 x 240-pixel resolution and over 4000 colors.  The unit supports multiple language fonts including Japanese and Chinese; these fonts can be expanded in size up to eight times.   The analog resistive film touch screen is backlit by a CCFL (non-replaceable by the user)  and has an internal clock with an accuracy of +/-65 seconds each month dependent upon operating temperature.  The unit is rated for use in ambient temperatures from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius in locations that are free of corrosive gases and conductive levels of dust.  

When installing the AGP3301-S1-D24 it is important to note the rear face of the unit is not approved as an enclosure as shipped.  This unit must be mounted in a vertical position to meet its standards and markings (UL/CE) as well as to properly cool.  Please be sure to mount the unit in a panel with the front-facing outward.  

The unit may be installed within a slanted panel of 30 degrees or less with no loss of operation.  However, if the location where you plan to install this unit inclines more than 30 degrees, it is possible you may need to add forced air cooling to keep the unit at proper operating temperature.  With this type of mounting the unit must maintain an operating temperature below 40 degrees Celsius. 

The GP3000 manual has extended information regarding the proper installation of this unit, including the proper torque for wiring as well as grounding procedures. This information should be reviewed before any kind of installation begins.
