The GP550-SC12 is an operator interface from Proface out of the company s 70/50/30/10 series of human-machine interfaces. This is an early series of HMIs available since the 1990s for interfacing with industrial machines specifically designed to be used in industrial settings where regular commercial PCs might not withstand the rugged needs of the factory floor. 

The GP550-SC12 is a ten-inch color touch panel. The unit includes a front-facing LED to indicate the status of the unit to users. Input connections are located at the rear of the unit. On the rear edge of the back panel, there is an on/off toggle switch and a terminal strip with multiple screw mounts to allow for field grounding as well as I/O wiring. This panel is protected by a clear cover that should always be removed once the wiring is completed. This unit requires an input voltage of AC 100-120VAC/200-240VAC at 50/60 Hz, 100 VA. The recommended replacement model for this unit is model number PFXGP4501TADW, but this requires changing to a DC power supply.
