This module is a part of several devices in a series of human/machine interface modules. This series is known as the Legacy Display lineup, which was developed and manufactured by Xycom and Pro-face Digital Electronics. These units are outfitted with a series of components and hardware that varies with each model.

The GP550-SC11 unit is designed with a gray, protective case, and is graded with a NEMA 4X/12 rating. The interface is a standard 10 inches and is equipped with a thin-film transistor as well as a CFL backlight. The backlighting has varying settings for both intensity and contrast for the graphics. The image resolution is rendered in 640 by 480 square pixels and is designed to provide the unit with a full 64 color display.
