Product Description

The GP4105G1D is a GP 4100 series human-machine interface from Proface.  This is one of several monochrome 3.4-inch HMIs available in our stock, ready for shipment.  It is important to note that these small monochrome units come in several different variations thanks to the associated backlight and the type of serial connection.  Additionally, these units can be installed horizontally or vertically. 

The GP4105G1D is a green/orange/red backlight model with a dc24V power supply.  The rated voltage, then, ranges from DC 19.2 to 28.8 V and has an allowable drop of 3 ms or less.  This unit has a power consumption that varies between 2.7 W to 6.0 W depending on power supplied to USB devices. 

The backlight in this unit should not be replaced by the user.   It has a 3.4 inch 200 x 80 STN monochrome display that offers sixteen levels of grayscale.  The unit has two USB connections (type-A and mini-B) as well as an RS-232C connector.   The unit is ideal for connecting to PLCs, temperature controllers, inverters, or single boards and can support certain drivers from Mitsubishi, Omron, Rockwell, Siemens, Keyence, Schneider Electric, and Toshiba. 

Be aware that while the unit has a rated operating temperature that allows use to 50 degrees Celsius, screen contrast levels may decrease when the unit is used for extended periods above 40 degrees Celsius.

Be careful where this unit is installed. The unit's rear-facing ventilation slots must be left unrestricted and unblocked to prevent the GP4100 unit from overheating. This unit should not be operated in locations where large sudden shifts in temperatures occur. Such changes may result in condensation inside the HMI that could cause a malfunction.--AX Control Tech Team
