Product Description

The GP-4502WW is a thin film transistor (TFT) color touch panel human-machine interface (HMI) from Pro Face Xycom.  This unit is one of several available from AX Control’s vast inventory.  This particular model is also sold from our inventory under the ProFace model number PFXGP4502WADW. 

The GP-4502WW HMI has an operating voltage of 24 VDC and an in-rush current of 50 amps.  This is a 10.4-inch touch panel Wide panel unit.   The unit should be used in ambient temperatures of zero to fifty degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 90% maximum, non-condensing.  Any location where this unit is used should be free of corrosive gases.   This unit uses natural air circulation for cooling, which means proper installation is imperative.  Please refer to the original Pro Face documentation for more information. 

The panel of the GP-4502WW is a TFT color LCD display with a rated 800 x 480 WVGA resolution.  The unit is backlit by a white LED.  This is not user-replaceable.  Extend the backlight life by using standby mode when no input is detected after a set amount of time.   Brightness levels can also be changed through the touch panel to sixteen different levels.  This will help decrease energy consumption. 

It is important to know that the LCD screen on this device may show some unevenness in brightness when certain images are on the screen, or may have extended shadows or cross-talk on edges.  After images are possible when the same image remains on the screen for extended periods of time.  If this happens, try turning off the panel for several seconds and restarting the panel.
