The APL3700-KA-CM18 is a 15 inch Touch-panel PC with a mouse and an integrated keypad manufactured by Pro-face. This PC is built on an Intel Celeron M 1.8 GHz CPU with a Windows XP Pro operating system installed (languages included are English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.) The APL3700-KA-CM18 connects easily to Xycom or Pro-face brand flat panel monitors. It gives the user the option to use their PC as an on-demand HMI touch-screen interface. The APL3700-KA-CM18 comes standard with a 60 GB hard drive, 1GB of memory (4 GB expandable,) a DVD-RW drive, and 2 PCI slots. The APL3700-KA-CM18 is RoHS directive-conforming. The APL3700-KA-CM18 runs GP-Pro EX applications.

It is important for the user to remember during installation that the #5 SG (signal ground) of the PL must be connected to external devices. Failure to do so may damage the RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485 circuit. It is recommended that, for easier maintenance and operation as well as for ventilation needs, the PL is installed at least 50mm (1.97 inches) away from structures or other equipment. A space of 120mm (4.72 inches) is the minimum space needed for cable curve. The PL's power supply cord should be kept as short as possible to reduce noise. If there is an excess of noise, the user may connect an insulating transformer.
