Product Description

L5355

ModBus Plus is one of the many open data communications networks available on the market. ModBus Plus provides a connection method for the exchange of information among products on the assembly line warehouse floor. In order to better control and operate the system of products, that’s where this product from Parker Eurotherm SSD comes in to play.

The L5355 ModBus Plus LINK Card is a member of the LINK 2 series, and stitches a network path between a LINK Control System, and a module that is installed with ModBus Plus. The pair of products that are the most compatible with that system are the L5300 LINK Rack module, and the L5392 LINK Station module.

The L5355 model is what is classified as what is known as a “slave” device. In that instance, the L5355 is meant to be controlled by a ModBus Plus master device. The most compatible devices to achieve this would be a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a PC that is installed with a set of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software. The L5355 module’s connection terminals come available in the form of 9 pin D-SUB connectors.

The physical and technical specifications are normal for this module and the series it is similar to. Its height is 120 millimeters, 32 mm width, and depth reaching 90 mm, and make sure the device is well ventilated, so that it does not reach a temperature beyond the operational range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.
