The 5203-SC-01 designation means that this is a processing unit that converts signals that it receives into fiber optic signals, which is then used to run a group of drives in speed lock.Most of the features included in the design and specifications of the 5203-SC-02 is equipped with one fibre optic receiver and a pair of fiber optic transmitters that are used to convert and send signals to the drives that are connected to the processing unit.
The 5203-SC-01 is designed to be mounted by a standard issue DIN rail when attached to the mounting plate on the back of the device. The 5203-SC-01 is designed that it should be installed in an environment with a temperature range that is between negative 10 to 60 degrees Celcius (14 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and between a 10 and 90% humidity level.
In order to make both your drive systems and the 5203-SC-01 processing module compatible between each other, you have to be able to configure the P3 port on the drive in a manner that will be able to support the 5203-SC-01. In order to do that, make sure you’re using the Man/Machine Interface (MMI), or another equally suitable programming tool. The standard voltage needed to power the module is between a minimum of 21 to 26 volts of direct current.
