The Parker AC890 Series is a set of variable frequency drives, which includes the 890CD/2/0005B/N/00/A/US. The 890CD/2/0005B/N/00/A/US is a Common Bus Drive, or CD. In common bus systems, the 890CD/2/0005B/N/00/A/US is able to accept DC voltage from AC890CS units, or Common Bus Supply units. The 890CD/2/0005B/N/00/A/US does not come with a braking option, but it does include Safe Torque Off functionality, which offers an added level of protection for motors. STO prevents unwanted start-ups, with two STO channels designed to work even if one channel has a fault.
