About the 8903/PB

The 8903/PB is a Profibus Communications Option from Parker and SSD Drives for use in the AC890 series. The option is compatible with Common Bus Drives, Standalone Drives, and High Power Drives from the AC890 series. 

The 8903/PB has several versions of 890 firmware that it can be used with. The versions of the firmware are:

  • Version 1.4 onward 
  • Version 2.1 onward
  • Version 3.1 onward
  • Version 4.1 onward 

This allows for a greater amount of flexibility in the drives used. The 8903/PB fits into the Option A slot, which is at the top of drives. 

Two more features of the 8903/PB are:

  • Node Address
  • X41- Profibus Network Connector
