About the 8903/IM

The 8903/IM is an Ethernet Communications Interface Option that is more specifically known as the Modbus/TCP Communications Option. This option is designed to fit with the AC890 series drives, including the Common Bus Drives and Standalone Drives. 

The 8903/IM is compatible with multiple types of 890 firmware, including:

  • Version 1.11 onward 
  • Version 3.2 onward
  • Version 4.1 onward

This compatibility allows for more connections with drives with different versions of firmware. The 8903/IM also supports RTNX protocol to connect to DSE (Drive System Explorer). 

There are several notable features on the option card. These are:

  • Network and Module status LEDs
  • RJ45 Ethernet Interface 
  • LINK Activity LED
