About the 8902/RE

The 8902/RE is a Resolver Speed Feedback Option from the AC890 series by Parker and SSD Drives. The purpose of the 8902/RE is to give resolvers a direct connection to the motor controller to ensure that speed feedback measurements are precise. 

The 8902/RE has two important features:

  • Two differential inputs on channels Sin and Cos 
  • A carrier output signal to power the resolver 

This option can be used with Standalone Drives and Common Bus Drives. The 8902/RE fits into the Option F slot on these drives. Some options come factory fitted, which will be indicated by the part number.
