About the 8902/LS

The 8902/LS is a Line Synchronization Option that can be used with AC890 Standalone Drives, Common Bus Drives, and High Power Drives. The 8902/LS helps the 890 AFE to check the three-phase supply voltage waveform and synchronize the IGBT firing to supply grid frequency and phase rotation. 

The 8902/LS works with the attenuator module that has the part number LA471892U001. The attenuator module is used as the AFE for the 890 drives. 

The 8902/LS enables the AFE to execute power factor and VAR control. The AFE also sends coding and rotation components to the 8902/LS. 

This Line Synchronization Option can be fitted into the Option F slot on the drives, while the attenuator module can be snapped into a DIN rail near the drive.
