The OP-35406 module was designed and produced by KEYENCE Corporation. It is classified as an extension or close-up ring to be used on cameras manufactured by KEYENCE Corporation. The OP-35406 extension ring has since been discontinued by KEYENCE Corporation. Although the OEM no longer supports this product or carries it new, AX Control has the OP-35406 extension ring in refurbished condition or possibly in new, never used condition available for purchase. The OP-35406 extension ring is a small, cylindrical device. It is totally black in color, except for a small ring silver ring on the inside. There are small ridges running vertically along the outsides. The OP-35406 extension ring is referred to as a “light tight” tube, which means that no light is able to enter inside of the OP-35406 extension ring.
The OP-35406 extension ring’s main purpose is to adjust the image seen by the camera, moving the lens farther away from the image. The OP-35406 extension ring allows the camera’s user to place the lens farther away from the camera mount, which allows for a greater focus and magnification level.
For example, the OP-35406 extension ring is compatible with the CV-070 camera by KEYENCE, according to the CV-070 camera’s manual. The OP-35406 extension ring extends out in three ways, getting progressively farther away from the camera.
