LK-36 is an LK Series sensor head that is manufactured by Keyance. The associated controller is LK-2011. The pulse duration of the light source is 3 to 482 µs, the wavelength is 670 nm, and the maximum output is 1.0 mW. The weight of this sensor head is approximately 260 g. The vibration resistance is 10 to 55 Hz, 1.5 mm double amplitude in X, Y, and Z directions, for 2 hours. The spot diameter is 30 x 850 µm for this particular sensor head. The ambient temperature should be 0 to 50 °C, and the relative humidity should be 35 to 85% with no condensation. The enclosure rating is IP-67. The sampling cycle is 512 µs. The current consumption is 400 mA (maximum).
Functions of the controller/sensor head assembly include auto zero, alarm hold, gain selection, response speed selection, and span/shift adjustment. The orientation of the sensor head should be parallel to the border line. Measurement error may result if the sensor head is installed perpendicular to the border line. Keep the distance between the sensor head and the controller to a minimum in order to minimize noise interference. Do not position the sensor head near a light source that emits light in recurring pulses. Remember that the controller and the sensor head both require 30 minutes to fully turn on. Measurements may be incorrect if the sensor head is used immediately after it is powered on. This sensor head is made out of aluminum die-cast.
