Product Description

LK-011 is an LK Series sensor head that is manufactured by Keyence. This sensor head is associated with the LK-3101 controller and comes in two measurement modes: normal and mirror surface measurement. The normal measurement mode has a reference distance of 10 mm, a measuring range of ± 1 mm, a linearity of ± 0.25% of F.S., and an analog voltage output of ± 10 V (0.1 μm/mV). The mirror surface measurement mode has a reference distance of 7.2 mm, a measuring range of ± 0.9 mm, a linearity of ± 0.25% of FS, and an analog voltage output of ± 9 V (0.1 μm/mV). The lightsource is a red semiconductor laser and the wavelength is a 670 nm visible beam.

The sensor may malfunction or the laser diode may deteriorate if there is too much noise interference, so the sensor cable and extension cables must be isolated from power lines or high tension lines. An insulator can be installed between the sensor head and the mounting surface. The frame grounding terminal must be earth-grounded. The sensor head is case-grounded. The controllers and the sensor heads in this series are calibrated in pairs, so the user must match the serial numbers in order to have compatible parts. If the parts are not matched, the specifications listed in the user manual cannot be reached. Water or oil cannot get into the sensor head. Keep the sensor head away from any substance that refracts light; such substances may cause measurements that are unstable.
