The KV-40T from Keyence is part of the company’s Conventional KV series. This is a transistor-output module. This module is one of many of the super small programmable logic controllers from this company that AX Control keeps within our warehouse stock.
The KV-40T includes an analog trimmer and ladder programming. The unit has screw terminal blocks that help decrease the size of unit. The conventional series has a number of different peripheral units that can help expand the capabilities of the module.
The KV-40T can connect to and control as many as eleven KV-R1A input/output distribution modules. Each of these modules can control up to ten I/O terminals modules with 16 I/O points each. The module offers flexible branch wiring and simple I/O addressing that does require special commands or addresses.
The unit includes built-in ramp up and ramp down programming, a high-speed interrupt input, and two 30-kHz high-speed counters.
The KV-40T includes ladder builder software that includes a desktop simulator feature. This allows users to check program operation before it is connected to the PLC or machinery. Debugging can occur before execution. The software includes Instruction selection, auto-save, usage lists, and an undo function.
