Product Description

The KV-40R module from Keyence is part of the company’s Conventional KV series.   AX Control maintains on-hand stock of both the Conventional and Visual KV series.  Both of these series are considered super micro PLCs that can be installed in a minimal amount of space. 

The  KV-40R uses Keyence software (Ladder Builder) designed for creating easy sequencing using Windows.   The unit itself uses a simplified wiring system. 

The  KV-40R is a power base unit.  It offers 24 inputs and 16 relay outputs.  The unit can be DIN rail mounted.   It weighs approximately 0.81 pounds before preparation for shipment.  Read our warranty page for information regarding coverage during shipment. 

The  KV-40R is marked on its front panel with the Keyence name and logo.  Each of the inputs and outputs corresponds to an LED indicator that will help the user see if they are working properly.  The side panels are vented to allow for airflow to the internal portion of the unit. 

The  KV-40R uses quick scans (0.5 ms) to overcome conventional scan-time delays.  The unit uses flexible branch wiring.  This allows branching from any I/O terminal at any point.   The addressing of I/Os has been simplified.    This is a modular DIN rail system with quick-disconnect lock mechanisms.
